Going the natural route: Deodorant

Hello loves,

I have been trying to switch some of my skin care products to more natural ones. Therefore, I decided to start a little series of posts talking about some of the products I try and whether or not they work for me.

As you already know, conventional deodorants contain tons of chemicals that are not good for you. This is why I decided to start my journey by switching my deodorant to a more natural one. However, finding a natural deodorant that works for me has not been an easy task and I have tried a few. The last one I purchased was the Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant Rose + Vanilla.  Not only does this deodorant smell phenomenal, but it makes sure to keep me smelling good all day. The only “downside” is that it does not prevent you from sweating. This is a good everyday deodorant, like if you are going to the office or running errands. Now, if you are planning on being super active then prepare yourself to sweat.

Deodorant info:

  • Free of aluminum, propylene glycol, parabens & phthalates. Certified vegan & cruelty-free. Made in Portland, Oregon USA.
  • Premium natural ingredients: Mineral-derived materials work to neutralize odors while plant-based powders help absorb wetness without the use of aluminum. Underarm care is one of our most important daily routines–use Schmidt’s health-conscious formulas to complement your natural lifestyle.

One more thing you should know about this deodorant is that it has a very grainy texture. It feels like if you were exfoliating your skin. (I guess you have to try it to understand what I mean lol.)

Overall, I think this is a good deodorant to start with.

Do you guys have any favorites?
