Old Quebec, Canada!
I recently went to Quebec or as I like to call it, the French part of North America. I have been to Canada before, but never to the Frech part. I am so happy that I got the opportunity to go and experience a whole new culture. This is definitely a must go especially if you live close to Canada. Our trip took about 7 to 8 hours in total and that’s including stops. My friends and I stayed at an Airbnb located in Levis.
Day one was pretty chill! We left the states at around 5 ish p.m and got to Canada like around 1 ish a.m. That next morning we woke and decided to look for places to eat. We found a crepe place in Old Quebec called Le Casse-Crêpe Breton. Unfortunately for us, we had to wait quite a long time after being seated to get our food. We chose this place because of the 4 out of 5 stars on google, but we were not that happy. I was really looking forward to the latte I ordered, but it was super watery. The servers were really nice though.
We, however, found two great restaurants:
I fell in love with Portofino Italian Bistro. They have great Italian food and service. We had so much fun the night we went. We also got to meet the musician that was playing that night. He was this super cool Argentinian guy, who also treated us to drinks on the house.
Another restaurant that we loved was Bistro 1640. Our waiter was super awesome and we got a great deal. They have a $32 dollar special where you can get soup, main and dessert.
Here are some other wonderful highlights of our trip.
We went to chocolato!
We got the opportunity to go to this lovely place. They have amazing ice cream and gelato. They also have a great variety of chocolate dipping sauces. My friends tried the white and black chocolate dipping. They also serve fondues and desserts.
And you cannot go to Canada and not get Maple Taffy!!!
This was my first time trying it and I really liked it. It is not as sweet as I thought it was going to be and I like it cold (AKA with a little bit of snow).
While in all Quebec, we got a chance to ride the funiculaire.
This is definitely one of my favorite pictures from this trip.
This place is magical! Montmorency Falls Park is a must go.
We had the opportunity to go all the way down to the ice.
Where should I go next?!
