I felt inspired after watching a couple of back to school hauls on youtube. So, here is what I want to share with you…Keep in mind that these “tips” are based on my own college experience and that everyone experiences college differently.
(These tips are not in any particular order)
Do yourself a favor and get involved. I guarantee you that your college experience will be enhanced by just joining a club, or becoming an orientation leader or something. Not only does extra-curricular activities look good on your resume, but this will help you make new friends and get to know people who share similar interests.
Manage your time
OMG, This is key! Make sure to manage your time wisely. You can use a planner or google calendar to help you stay organize.
Do not be afraid to ask for help
Seriously! Do not be afraid to seek help when you need it. It is important to take care of yourself not only physically, but also mentally.
Do not forget to eat
I know this sound super silly, but this happened to me on so many occasions. Especially during mid-terms and finals week. So, make sure to pack a light breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack; or just make your way to the closest dining hall or cafeteria. Your brain and body will thank you.
You should probably no party every weekend
Having an awesome social life is great, but you should never let that interfered with your academics. Remember that you are in college for a reason, so it is okay to stay in your dorm on a weekend doing homework.
Get some serious zzz time
Pulling all-nighters should not be a regular thing you do. You need to make sure that you are getting enough sleep. Not getting enough sleep can also have an effect on your overall health.
Go to Orientation
Get oriented dear, 😛 and make friends while doing it. Orientation can be fun and you will learn some really essential info.
